EIG plans to develop futuristic tourism and residential project His Highness Sheikh Abdullah Bin Rashed Al Mualla, Umm Al Quwain Deputy Ruler, and Sheikh Tariq Qassimi, Chairman of the Emirates Investment Group (EIG) have recently signed an agreement that will see the establishment of White Bay, a master planned community and tourism resort within the Emirate of Umm Al Quwain. With further details to be announced in the coming weeks, the project is worth more than AED 8billion. It will be marketed and managed by Emirates Sunland Group (ESG). Emirates Sunland Group is a 50:50 partnership between Sunland Group, an Australia based property development company, and UAE based Emirates International Holdings. Emirates Sunland Group have recently opened offices in Dubai in preparation for the launch of several new projects in the UAE, including the world’s second Palazzo Versace Hotel, D1 Tower, an 80 storey residential/resort tower on Dubai Creek. Speaking at the signing to mark the occasion, Mr. Reza Jafar, Managing Director of EIG commented, ‘We are proud to announce our partnership with the Emirate of Umm Al Quwain in the development of such a prestigious and important project. This project will compliment the various other mega projects already under development in the Emirate and we envisage that such a scheme will contribute significantly to the economic growth and prosperity of both Umm Al Quwain and the UAE as a whole.' Umm Al Quwain is currently undergoing a complete renovation and improvement of its infrastructure with billions of dirhams in investment being dedicated to the establishment of colossal residential and tourism mega-projects. Mr Reza Jafar added. 'EIG has a large stake in this project and we are pleased that His Highness Abdullah Bin Rashed Al Mualla has expressed confidence in our expertise to undertake such an epic development. For this we aim to work closely with the Government of Umm Al Quwain towards its successful fruition. |
