21/02/2007 Stage One of White Bay Completely Sold Out

Emirates Sunland Group, the property development company behind the Palazzo Versace Hotel, has announced that stage one of the waterfront precinct at White Bay project has completely sold out.

The majority of stage five has also been sold and this has brought forward the release date of stage two, which also comprises of waterfront and canal view villas, garden villas and mid-rise apartments.

White Bay is a resort style residential community to be built around two man-made islands and along the natural shoreline of Umm Al Quwain.

The first stage of the US$3 billion master planned community was launched at Cityscape last December and has seen over 75 luxury waterfront villas sold. Each of these villas has direct access to beach front and overlooks the canal leading to the marina.

The White Bay community will be built around a central marina, with the town centre facing the waterfront. A boardwalk running along the waters edge will offer fashion boutiques, cafes and open air restaurants and will be a place for residents to relax and enjoy the natural beauty of the town. This area will also be the focal point for the community's cultural and entertainment precinct.

Two hotels built on either side of the town centre will offer stunning views over the water and gardens, while a retirement residence will provide the latest medical facilities for those wanting to retire in a resort styled community.

Mr Soheil Abedian, Managing Director of Emirates Sunland Group says he is delighted with the success of stage one and is looking forward to the successful release of properties in stage two.

"The market for resort styled communities in the UAE is growing in popularity. Recent surveys have shown that there is a shortage of this kind of development in Dubai and purchasers are now looking to the neighboring emirates. The unique position of White Bay on the Umm Al Quwain shoreline, its attractive pricing and the potential for growth in value in Umm Al Quwain is encouraging many owner occupiers to move to this resort styled community."

Emirates Sunland Group is a joint venture between Dubai based Emirates International Holdings and Australian based Sunland Group. Sunland Group opened the world's first Palazzo Versace Hotel on Australia's Gold Coast in 2000, and last year completed Q1. This was recognized by the Guinness Book of Records as the world's tallest residential tower.

As well as project managing White Bay on behalf of Al Murjan Real Estate, Emirates Sunland Group is currently developing several other projects in Dubai. The world's second Palazzo Versace Hotel is currently under construction on Dubai Creek alongside D1, an 80-storey residential/resort tower. D1 will be a sister tower to Q1 on Australia's Gold Coast.

In conjunction with the release of stage two of the White Bay project Emirates Sunland Group is currently displaying White Bay at the Galleria section of Mall of the Emirates.
