24/05/2007 Mid-rise properties released for sale in White Bay in Umm Al Quwain

Emirates Sunland Group (ESG) today announced the release of a limited number of mid-rise properties in its White Bay project.

Luxury studios, 1, 2 and three bedroom apartments are available in the seven storey White Bay Terraces. These will have ocean or garden views.

The release of White Bay Terraces follows the successful release of the Waterfront and Attached Island Villas earlier this month which are nearly sold out.

"Interest from investors in White Bay is reaching unprecedented levels and this is clearly due to the unique nature of the project," said Luke Barnett, ESG spokesman and Development Manager for White Bay.

"It is also a very exciting time for us as project managers as we are nearing completion of the master-plan. When complete, White Bay will prove to be a tranquil yet accessible retreat, with a real community feel in a stunning, natural environment."

ESG also confirmed that, having recently appointed ACES International, geotechnical investigations on the master-planned community are now well underway at White Bay, which is set on the shores of Umm Al Quwain.

Along with the ongoing geotechnical investigations, Hyder Consulting, multi-discipline civil engineers, are also in the early stages of conducting construction methodology and detailed engineering designs of White Bay.

Since White Bay's launch at Cityscape in December last year, the resort style waterfront precinct of Stage 1 has completely sold out, with the majority of the Island Villas in Stage 5 also sold. This represents the sale of over 185 villas in the US$3 billon White Bay project.

The White Bay community will be built around a central marina with the town centre facing the waterfront. A boardwalk running along the water's edge will offer fashion boutiques, cafes and open air restaurants and will be a place for residents to relax and enjoy the natural beauty of the town. This area will also be the focal point for the community’s cultural and entertainment precinct.

ESG is a joint venture between UAE-based Emirates International Holdings and Australian developer Sunland Group Limited. As well as project managing White Bay on behalf of Al Murjan Real Estate, Emirates Sunland Group is currently developing several other projects in Dubai. The world's second Palazzo Versace Hotel is currently under construction on Dubai Creek alongside D1, an 80-storey residential/ resort tower.
